Antique Porcelain Creamer, Gaudy Welsh, Oyster Pattern, 19th C.
Charming porcelain Gaudy Welsh jug or creamer imported from England.
This folksy, unpretentious porcelain was originally made in England and Wales between 1820 and 1860 for working class families and was not made to be perfect.
Today it is highly collectible and this pretty creamer is a fine example. It displays hand painted decoration in cobalt blue, burnt orange with touches of copper luster and pink luster on a white background.
I would consider this piece to be in very good condition for its age with only one inconspicuous chip on the inside of the spout. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs.
Dimensions: Height 4 3/4", width from handle to spout 4"
