Antique Porcelain Sugar Bowl, Gaudy Welsh, Oyster Pattern, 19th C.

Charming porcelain Gaudy Welsh sugar bowl imported from England.

This folksy, unpretentious porcelain was originally made in England and Wales between 1820 and 1860 for working class families and was not made to be perfect.

Today it is highly collectible and this pretty bowl is a fine example. It displays hand painted decoration in cobalt blue, burnt orange with touches of copper luster and pink luster on a white background.

I would consider this piece to be in very good condition for its age with only some browning to the inside. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.

Dimensions: Height 3", diameter 5 1/4""
