Vintage Porcelain Hand Painted 17 piece Small Tea Set, Japan. C. 1930.
This exquisitely decorated small porcelain tea set was hand painted in Japan and dates back to C. 1930.
The set consists of a small teapot, creamer, sugar bowl and six demi tasse size cups and saucers.
Each piece is beautifully painted with birds, flowers, bamboo on a white background and trimmed in gold.
The teapot lid has a chip, as shown in the photo, but this does not affect the functionality of the piece. One of the teacups does have a mark which appears to be a manufacturer's defect rather than a chip, as can be seen in the photo. Overall the set is in excellent condition for its age.
