19th Century Chinese Chippendale Mahogany Corner China Cabinet
A rare and beautiful antique Chinese Chippendale-style mahogany corner china cabinet, imported from England and dating to the 19th century.
Intricately carved throughout, the cabinet has a deep red mahogany finish that has developed a wonderful aged and glowing patina over generations of use. Its tall, elegant proportions and corner design provide impressive display and storage space while making excellent use of an otherwise difficult-to-furnish area of a room.
Constructed in two sections, the upper display cabinet features double doors fitted with single panes of old wavy glass, adding wonderful period character and visual depth. The doors open to reveal beautifully shaped interior shelving together with small hanging hooks, perfect for displaying china, cups, jugs, glassware, or a treasured collection.
The lower section has a pair of paneled doors concealing a generous storage cupboard with an interior shelf, providing useful space for pieces you would rather keep out of sight.
The original brass latches and lock are all still present. A key is included; however, it does not operate the lock and serves only as a handle for opening the cabinet.

Condition
Good antique condition.
This cabinet is solid, strong, and sturdy with expected age-appropriate minor wear, dings, marks, and imperfections throughout. These naturally aged details contribute to the wonderful patina and authentic old-world character of the piece.
The original brass latches and lock remain present. The key does not operate the lock and is used only as a handle.
