English Victorian Walnut Buffet Server, circa 1880

A beautiful antique English Victorian walnut buffet server dating to around 1880. Crafted from rich, warm walnut and adorned with beautifully hand-carved details, this stately piece embodies the refinement and artistry of late 19th-century English furniture.

The server features a generous top surface above two drawers fitted with decorative brass handles. Below, an open center shelf is framed by elegant turned supports, adding both structure and grace while providing a useful area for display or serving.

The lower cabinet doors showcase intricate hand-carved motifs, bringing wonderful depth, texture, and visual interest to the piece. The cabinet retains a working lock and key and opens to reveal ample storage inside.

Standing 54 1/4" tall at the back, the server has wonderful presence while its 40" counter height provides a substantial and practical surface. It would work beautifully in a dining room as a buffet or server, or as additional storage and display in a kitchen, living room, or collected interior.

The walnut has developed a warm and inviting patina over nearly 150 years, with the kind of character only time can create. This is a piece that doesn't just furnish a room — it enriches it.

Condition

Very good antique condition.

Structurally sound with age-appropriate wear, marks, and imperfections consistent with its age and use. There is a small part of trim broken on the door as shown in Image #12, some scratches visible on the top, see Images # 15 & 16

The cabinet retains its working lock and key.
