Antique German Hand-Painted Porcelain Cherub Powder Box
A delightfully detailed antique German porcelain powder box dating to the early 1900s, beautifully hand painted with colorful wildflowers, elaborate gold decoration, and a wonderfully whimsical cherub scene.
The floral decoration continues on both the inside and outside of the box, with colorful wildflowers surrounded by an ornate gold-painted border. This attention to the interior makes the box particularly lovely when displayed open as well as closed.
The lid is the standout feature, decorated with a charming scene of two cherubs amongst the clouds and framed by an elaborate hand-painted gold border. The combination of romantic imagery, colorful flowers, and rich gilding gives the piece wonderful old-world elegance and charm.
Generously sized at 7 1/2" long, the box is beautiful displayed on a dressing table or vanity and remains practical for storing jewelry, keepsakes, or other small treasures.

Good antique condition.
