A striking antique 19th-century double inkwell made from heavy cast brass with a wonderfully rich, aged patina.

The substantial base is beautifully decorated with scrolling foliage, classical motifs, and finely cast relief work. Two lidded inkwells sit prominently within the ornate design, with hinged lids that open smoothly to reveal the original ink reservoirs.
