Miniature Arts & Crafts Style Mirror-Back Dresser with Hand-Carved Drawers

Miniature Arts & Crafts Style Mirror-Back Dresser with Hand-Carved Drawers

A delightful and unusual miniature mirror-back dresser, featuring charming Arts & Crafts-inspired details, hand-carved decoration, and a wonderfully rustic aged appearance.

With its small proportions reminiscent of a traditional furniture salesman's sample, this decorative dresser beautifully captures the character of a full-sized antique bedroom piece in miniature form.

The lower cabinet features three drawers, each decorated with hand-carved branches and fitted with a single small white porcelain knob. Above the drawers is a faux-marble-painted countertop, cleverly designed to imitate the natural marble that might have been used on a full-sized dresser.

Rising above the countertop is a rectangular mirror set within a simple channeled wooden frame, topped with a charming handmade, picket-fence-style crown. This distinctive detail adds a wonderful touch of rustic craftsmanship and individuality to the piece.

The wood has developed a beautifully aged patina, while the mirror displays attractive foxing that contributes to its nostalgic, old-world appearance.

Standing just 26 inches tall, this unusual little dresser would make a delightful decorative accent in a bedroom, on a larger piece of furniture, or as part of a collection of miniature furniture and folk art.

Full of character and handcrafted charm, it is a lovely conversation piece that celebrates the appeal of traditional furniture design on a smaller scale.

Condition

The mirror shows noticeable foxing and age-related deterioration to the reflective surface, adding to the piece's authentic aged appearance.

These characteristics are part of the charm and individuality of this unique miniature dresser.
