Art Deco Alvin Sterling Silver & Cut Crystal Serving Basket
An elegant Art Deco sterling silver serving basket by the renowned American silver maker Alvin, beautifully designed with a reticulated silver frame and three heavy cut crystal inserts.
The openwork sterling silver basket has a wonderfully decorative geometric appearance typical of the Art Deco period and stands on charming little bun feet. A tall handle rises gracefully above the three removable crystal inserts, creating an impressive presentation on a dining or serving table.
The handle is monogrammed at the top, while the underside bears the maker's mark for Alvin.
The three substantial cut crystal inserts sit neatly within the silver frame, making this an elegant and practical serving piece for condiments, preserves, sweets, nuts, or other small accompaniments.
