A wonderful English Victorian blown glass tankard, beautifully etched, monogrammed, and dated 1864.
The hand-blown glass has a classic tankard form with a substantial applied handle and a wonderfully simple elegance. Particularly special is the etched decoration, including its original monogram and clearly dated 1864, giving the piece a personal connection to the Victorian era and making it much more than simply an attractive piece of antique glassware.
More than 160 years old, the tankard retains the subtle characteristics and variations associated with hand-blown glass and remains remarkably clean and well cared for.

Condition
Good antique condition.
There is one crack in the glass where the upper part of the handle joins the body of the tankard. There are also some minor surface scratches consistent with age and use.
Aside from this, the tankard has been very well cared for and remains remarkably clean for its age.
