Pair of Vintage Hitchcock Black Painted Stenciled Side Chairs with Rush Woven Seats

Pair of Vintage Hitchcock Side Chairs with Rush Seats

Add timeless charm to any room with this elegant pair of vintage Hitchcock side chairs, beautifully crafted in the classic New England tradition. Inspired by the legacy of Lambert Hitchcock, who revolutionized American chair making after founding his company in Connecticut in 1818, these chairs celebrate the enduring craftsmanship and distinctive styling that have made Hitchcock furniture highly collectible.

Each chair features a traditional black-painted frame highlighted with warm gold accents and delicately stenciled floral sprays and urn motifs adorning the backrests and stretchers. The beautifully woven rush seats provide both comfort and natural texture, while the turned legs and sturdy cross stretchers create a graceful silhouette and lasting stability.

The combination of hand-finished decoration, classic proportions, and traditional construction makes this pair equally at home in country, Colonial, farmhouse, or traditional interiors. Whether placed in an entryway, flanking a fireplace, used as occasional seating, or gathered around a dining table, they bring warmth, artistry, and authentic American heritage to any space.

Beautifully preserved and ready for everyday enjoyment, this handsome pair offers timeless appeal that never goes out of style.
