Vintage Baker Furniture Mahogany Pedestal Side Table with Leather Inset Top & Gold Tooling

An elegant vintage Baker Furniture mahogany side table, featuring a round leather-inset top with decorative gold tooling, a beautifully turned pedestal, and a graceful tripod base.

With its refined proportions and traditional styling, this charming occasional table reflects the quality craftsmanship and classic design for which Baker Furniture became so well regarded.

The circular tabletop features a warm tan-colored leather inset, surrounded by a beautifully finished reddish-brown mahogany frame. An embossed gold-tooled border adds an elegant decorative detail, complementing the wood's rich, lustrous finish.

Beneath the top, a turned central pedestal extends into three sweeping cabriole-style legs, each terminating in a softly rounded foot. The combination of the circular top, turned column, and curved tripod base gives the table a distinctly 18th-century-inspired appearance.

The underside retains the Baker Furniture maker's mark, identifying it as an authentic piece by this respected American furniture company.

Founded by Siebe Baker in Michigan in 1890, Baker Furniture became particularly well known for producing high-quality traditional furniture and finely crafted period reproductions.

Its compact proportions make this table wonderfully versatile, whether used as a chairside table, lamp table, drinks table, or occasional accent piece. The small footprint allows it to fit comfortably beside an armchair or sofa without overwhelming the surrounding space.

The combination of warm mahogany, aged leather, and elegant gold tooling would complement a traditional living room, library, study, bedroom, or sitting room beautifully.

A lovely example of vintage Baker Furniture, offering timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and practical versatility.

Condition

Good vintage condition, with expected signs of age and use.

The mahogany retains its attractive reddish-brown finish, with minor surface marks and wear consistent with previous use.

The tan leather inset displays age-related patina, marks, and surface wear, contributing to the table's traditional character.

The embossed gold-tooled edging remains an attractive decorative feature, and the Baker Furniture maker's mark is present underneath.
